4.1 Rihanna- What’s my name review
Rihanna- What’s my name review
What’s my name is a song performed by recording artist Rihanna taken from her fifth studio album, Loud. Featuring Drake, the song was released as the second single from the album on October 29, 2010. The R&B song was produced by Norwegian production duo StarGate with strong reggae and ska beats.
The song is one of Rihanna’s best vocal work, it also has a nice romantic nature to it.
Rihanna knows how to entertain the audience, as she gives a wonderful performance in the video with Drake, she has an amazing unusual voice that suits the song, Drake also gives the song an extra reason to like it.
The music has a good beat as it has strong reggae, her voice is high pitched which somehow suits it, and with of course Drake rapping, it goes together very well.

What can I do? | I can use a camera using different techniques. I can use a tripod, know how to set it up. | I have used a camera when I was filming for a project in year 9. I also have experience on camera from interview that the school had organized. | I have not had much experience on this subject/ theme, just things I have heard about bullies and films. |

Using the equipment
You could use this document when you are thinking about a medium for your record.
Name of medium | Do I have the skills to use this medium? | How can I gain the skills I need? | Will I have access to equipment, materials and resources? |
Film | Yes, but I would need a lot of recourses. | I would need to get a lot of equipment; therefore I would need to find people that I can get it from. I also need to get a lesson on how to make films, and to use IMovie. | Yes, if I ask in our school, we have a Creative and Media room with all the equipment. |
Music video | Yes. | From workshops provided on music videos will help getting experience. On YouTube there are many clips showing how to make a music video. . | Yes, everything will be provided in the creative and media room. |
Magazine | Not as much. | I would have to have an interview with an editor from a magazine company, that would give me an idea of what needs to be involved of making a magazine. | I would not have any access to equipment and materials |

What equipment can I use?
Think about all the recording resources available to you, for example cameras – still and moving image; digital recorders; laptops and personal digital recorders (PDRs); desktop-publishing software.
Now think about where these resources can be found, if you need to book them, how to book them and when they are available.

3 Main Aesthetic Rules:
- The rule of thirds
where you divide the picture in 3 so it is more focused and better to concentrate on.
-The lead room
in the picture it looks as though the picture is moving a certain way eg. if there is a picture of a driving car, the picture is taken with space at the front of the car so it looks like the car is going that way.
-The headroom
make space on the top of head
eyes on the line
to show emotion- extreme close up
The white balance
the white balance is a setting on the camera
the main colours are blue, green and red, all three together makes white
light will effect the colour, use white as standard, put it infront of camera and set it.
Depth of field
smaller and greater depth of field
After we made these notes the teacher took us outside for 5 minutes to show us how to use the camera in white balance.
4.1 Lokmen Chekki

We had a visitor called Lokmen Chekki come in today to talk about Film, he is a production assistant and works with cameras a lot. He has been working in the industry for 5 years now and has worked on the BBC as a cameraman; he has also made a few short movies for festivals.
He first talked about what cameras was like in the 1870s, about camera Obsura that was the first camera, and how it revolved to experimenting and then in 1898 they discovered the first moving pictures, a while after that the Lumiere Brothers were they first people to make money out of it, and there was the ‘birth of cinema’.
